What a quick month this has been. None of us can believe it went by this fast. We went out for sushi at a local place called Yayoizushi in Fujisawa-shi.

It was very bright in this place, and the feeling was interesting. Old and traditional yet very modern (as you can see by the choice of color on the walls.

The sushi was incredible – only about 10x better than that I have had in the states. We all had the same thing, Chawamushi (which I forgot to take a photo of), Sushi with fish soup, followed by mouse dessert then some tea.

It seems most meals in Japan consist of lots of little things. In america, we seem to have three things, and lots of those three things. Here, it is more of – we have the main dish which there is plenty of (maybe 2/3 the typical american serving?) then smaller side dishes – one or two of whatever it is.

I’ve also noticed that most people don’t eat chips with their sandwiches at lunch time. Only iced coffee and a sandwich. Interesting observation I thought.

Yumi’s Mom and Dad

Yumi and me.

Yukkun unaware his photos is being taken, me and Yumi.

The photo you all have been waiting for. Since I know people who like sushi read my site – this photo is a link to a larger version for them to salivate over. The one on the upper right had a ’salt flavour’ to it (meaning don’t dip it in the soy sauce). It was quite delicious – even with the extra wasabi that was on it (as in Japan they used Wasabi to attach the meat to the rice).

Until next time faithful readers!
