Byōyomi 1.0
by James in General, Japan on April 3rd, 2008
It’s been far too long since I’ve updated lomohut. Apologies for that. I spent a lot of my break working on a new application for Sugoi Software, my mac shareware business. For about three years I have had only a single product, Jisho. That was until April 1st when I released Byōyomi.

Byōyomi, another weird Japanese name. Byōyomi is actually a term used when playing the game Go, in which there is a countdown period. Thus my app is countdown type application. However what separates it from other apps is that it runs up in the menubar on the top of the screen and it is also deliberately simple.

This is what it looks like if you want a window on the screen and to watch something countdown. My favourite bit is the fuzzy-time on the right. A life saver when you have multiple timers running.
Until next time. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Cool, I look forward to giving it a test run when I get my new mac in about three months.
