I finally got around to ordering and watching A Map For Saturday based upon a recommendation from Justin Klein’s blog.

Even though I was only gone for a year in Japan and have never been backpacking in my life, the film has a certain amount of resonance within me. It’s something I’ve dreamed about for a long time. I don’t want to say right now is not the right time to travel, because it will never be the “right time”.

It’s a matter of making something a priority in one’s life and finding a way, any way to achieve that. After all, “Maybe in sixty years I’m dead. I want to say, ‘I had a good life.’”
